The Assam Pollution Control Board (APCB), on September 15, 2025, notified regarding the Auto-Renewal of Consents for all (Red, Orange & Green) categories of industries.
The following amendments have been stated:
• The auto-renewal will be applicable to the industries applying for the renewal of Consent to Operate at least 60 days before the expiry of the current consent validity. The unit needs to apply for auto-renewal of Consent to Operate via the CPCB-developed Consent Management System.
• The following revised guidelines shall be followed for implementation of auto-renewal of CTO:
• The validity of CTO (under the Water Act and the Air Act) shall be renewed upon receipt of the following from the unit:
• Prescribed consent fee as per the Govt. Notification No.ENG.26/2003/14 dated November 12, 2003, paid online.
• Latest financial balance sheet showing Fixed Assets (CA certified).
• Copy of the previous valid Consent order, Latest Monitoring Report.
• Self-certification by the industry confirming compliance with all existing consent conditions and any Board directions issued from time to time.
• Bank Guarantee equal to double the total consent fee payable.
• Auto-renewal shall be issued for a maximum of 5 years.
